SKP has adopted Vrindavan, a residential institution in Badlapur that serves as a home for underprivileged children. It is run by Ramesh Kukreja of the Sahyadri Nisarg Jeevan Sanstha – a charitable trust registered under The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
The Trust provides food, shelter, clothing, education and other facilities for the 40 children in its care. Apart from meeting their daily needs, the Kukreja family nurtures the children with immense love and affection and encourages their holistic development through activities like music, yoga, meditation, art, sports, etc.
The entire SKP team has always contributed generously towards the upkeep of Vrindavan. Many of our team members also visit Vrindavan regularly to spend time with the children. In 2011, SKP completed an ambitious project of constructing a new home with adequate housing facilities as well as recreational space for the children. The 6,000-square-foot structure has been built in an eco-friendly manner. The Trust is now working towards a library, a vocational training centre and a computer education centre.
